This month’s Fall Champion Hero is Amber Ward, a Nurse Aide at Sonida Senior Living’s The Wellington at Dayton in Dayton, Ohio. Amber is known for her deep compassion when responding to falls, taking the time to carefully a place a pillow under residents’ heads after an incident, and cover them with a blanket. She’s also been known to sit on the ground with residents and hold their hands, providing additional comfort and support until further assistance arrived. It’s this level of thoughtfulness in her fall response and commitment to care quality that helps make her a Fall Champion Hero. Her nominator, Magnolia Trails Director Yvette Cordrey adds, “Amber’s devotion to the residents and their quality of life truly shows every time she steps through the door.”
