We’re thrilled to celebrate Elizabeth Jones, Charge Nurse at The Delaney at Parkway Lakes, as our January Care Champion Hero. Elizabeth is known for her compassion and critical thinking in assessments, helping to ensure residents are comforted when an incident occurs and receive the right care. In one instance, she remained on the floor holding a resident’s hand until further assistance arrived. On another occasion, she helped advocate for more care for a resident when a family was initially reluctant—and it turned out that care was needed—ensuring peace of mind to all involved. Nominator Cindy Scarbrough, Director of Health Services, says, “Elizabeth’s compassion and dedication shine through in every interaction, whether providing emotional support to residents, family, and co-workers or advocating for those in need. She addresses immediate concerns and works to create lasting positive change, inspiring others to take action. Her selfless commitment to making a difference embodies what it means to be a Care Champion Hero.” If you know a Care Champion Hero who should also be recognized for their impact in a community, nominate them here.
