SafelyYou is proud to introduce you to Cynthia Waldron, Caregiver and Med Tech at Merrill Gardens at Santa Maria in Santa Maria, CA. Cynthia was selected as our latest Fall CHampion Hero from a pool of incredible nominations.
“Cynthia is the most diligent when falls occur. She participates and is always interested in doing what is right for the resident and consistently reaches out for assistance when needed” says Gary King, Memory Care Coordinator.
In just one of many examples of Cynthia’s outstanding care, Gary recalled that a resident slid off her bed in her room. “Cynthia was one of the first staff members to respond. She verified the resident was unhurt and then tried every which way to have the resident help herself. When she was not able to do this she called her supervisor and explained the situation and expressed the best way to assist would be for her and her partner to assist her off the floor.” After successfully assisting the resident off the floor, Gary added that Cynthia “continued to assess the resident’s condition after the resident was standing. She listened to feedback afterward and agreed to make some changes when this happens again.”
